Racing Instruction

Crew spots are always available with our experienced skippers in the club races.  This provides an amazing opportunity to learn “on the job”, and absorb as much knowledge as possible in real-world situations.

We also host more formal racing clinics and seminars on occasion that cover everything from rules to strategy & tactics.

Youth Sailing

In partnership with SailMaine and the Town of Belgrade, GPYC hosts 1-week sailing camps for youths aged 9-17.  The program runs in July & August, and is open to all youths – membership in GPYC is not required.  Morning sessions are for 9–12 year olds. Afternoon sessions are for 12–17 year olds. Tuition is very affordable, and scholarships are available so everyone can participate.  To find out more details, and register your child for an upcoming session, please visit the SailMaine website.
